Supervise assigned site works so that execution matches approved drawings, specification and programme, and so that site records are complete and accurate.
Key responsibilities
Execution and supervision
- Supervise daily execution of assigned trades and areas against the approved programme.
- Set out works and check dimensional compliance against approved drawings.
- Monitor subcontractor labour numbers and output against planned productivity, and report shortfalls the same day.
- Coordinate trades within assigned areas to avoid sequencing conflicts.
Technical and quality
- Work only from current-revision approved drawings and confirm revision status before execution.
- Identify and record snags, and supervise rectification through to closure.
- Prepare inspection requests and accompany consultant inspections on assigned areas.
- Maintain as-built markups for assigned areas.
Materials and records
- Raise material requests with adequate lead time and quantities checked against take-off.
- Check deliveries against approved submittals and purchase orders, and record discrepancies.
- Maintain the daily site diary, labour returns, delivery records and progress photographs.
- Report daily progress in the format required by the Project Manager.
Health and safety
- Enforce health and safety requirements within assigned areas.
- Report unsafe conditions and near-misses immediately.
Qualifications & experience
- Bachelor's degree in Architectural or Civil Engineering; Egyptian Engineering Syndicate membership.
- 2 to 5 years in fit-out, finishing or interior construction.
- Experience on commercial fit-out or high-end residential finishing projects.
- Willingness to be site-resident, including outside Greater Cairo, where the project requires it.
Technical skills
- AutoCAD and MS Office.
- Ability to read architectural and MEP drawings.
- Basic quantity take-off.
- Arabic fluent; English to a working standard.
